Building And Pest Inspections

Why it is important to have two separate inspectors for a combined pre-purchase building and pest inspection?
It is important to have two inspectors because we will be providing you with not one, but two complete and thorough inspections of your property.

Both our building and pest inspectors will be working independently of each other while inspecting your property. They both have many years of experience behind them and are recognised as experts in their own fields. Our inspectors will also utilise the latest methods and technology including FREE thermal imaging.

Having two separate inspectors will provide you with a more thorough inspection of your property than just one inspector alone can do.

One inspector undertaking both inspections could not possibly have the many years of experience required in both the building industry and also the pest industry. He will probably have more experience in one of these fields than the other.

Experience and years of hands on knowledge are the most important factors to consider if you are seeking the best and most knowledgeable inspections and reports.

If you are still unsure about why you should choose two inspectors instead of one inspector for a combined building and pest inspection, ask yourself this question, “Why would a builder take 10 or 20 years away from his building career to become a pest inspector so he could have have extensive, experience in both fields?”.

Our combined building and pest inspections
Combined building and pest inspections are our most commonly requested inspections. Your combined building and pest inspections will be undertaken by two individual inspectors. A licensed building inspector and a licensed pest inspector, who will inspect your property together at the same time.

When our building and pest inspectors have completed your inspections they will provide you with a verbal summary of their findings while you are all still at the property, providing your with an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

They will inform you of any major building defects such as cracking, safety issues and any items in need of maintenance. The current termite protection for the property will be identified along with any recommendations required to protect the property from termite attack. Any high moisture areas will be reported on along with any surface water drainage problems.

What happens if I can’t attend my inspections?
This is not a problem. Our friendly inspectors are more than happy to give you a call after your inspections and go over everything with you.

Both inspectors will provide you with their professionally written reports within 24 hours of your inspections. You are most welcome to talk to your inspectors again to discuss your reports after you have received them.

For your peace of mind, both your building and pest inspectors are highly experienced and hold professional indemnity insurance for your added protection.
