Pacific Pines Pest Control

Ideally situated at the top of the Gold Coast, Pacific Pines can brag a short drive to the beach strip, all the major theme parks while only being a short 40 minute drive from Brisbane. It’s a fast-growing residential area on the west side of the Pacific Highway offering plenty of park and recreational areas with views of Stradbroke Island from the more elevated parts of the suburb.

Somewhat detached from Surfers Paradise the area is a popular area for families looking to own their own home with many house and land packages still on offer. With the area still growing now is the time to make a move before all the best locations are gone

Pacific Pines is in prime location to take advantage of neighbouring Helensvale Golf Club and the Gold Coast Country Club. Both 18-hole courses welcome visitors and are a short distance from Pacific Pines.

Originally a Pine plantation in the locality of Gaven, the area was taken up by Stockland in 1990 and designed as a suburb with 5,800 housing lots and several open space reserves.

Land sales began in 1993 and half the total lots were already sold by 2003 when the area became its own separate suburb, named Pacific Pines for the vegetation and the views.

Robina Pest Control

Robina is a master planned residential community that has been growing at an exponential rate for the last two decades. There is everything one could ever need in Robina – good schools and the private Bond University, wonderful shopping, parks, hospital, bike and walk trails and lakes. It’s also a stone’s throw away from the popular Burleigh Beach.

There are so many new developments taking place offering luxury for singles, families, retirees and students at affordable prices. Popping up all over the place are high rise residential apartments, villas, townhouses and the odd stand-alone house. Robina’s property developers have been trumpeting it as the new centre of the Gold Coast for over a decade, but now, finally, it looks like they’re almost there.

With its 2.5 billion dollar Robina Town Centre shopping centre, train station with direct link to Brisbane, Bond University, Varsity Lakes IT hub and now a brand new football stadium, locals have easy access to everything.

Robina’s history doesn’t extend much past the late 1980s when it was still a floodplain/swamp waiting to be developed. Its central location and proximity to both beaches and the Pacific Highway made it a natural spot for a massive urban development, but it took until the late 1990s (or perhaps it was the building of Bond University) for the landscape to be completely re-shaped from a swamp into a gently undulating lakeside business and residential centre.

Southport‘s location on the Broadwater and its historical buildings, government tenants, courthouse and commerce facilities still make it the official central business district of the Gold Coast, but Robina’s carefully planned town centre, high profile multi-national tenants and infrastructure may very well help it steal the title in years to come.

Cbus Super Stadium premier stadium located next door to the Robina train station, featuring Titans home games during the NRL season.

St Vincent’s Hospital offers numerous facilities and surgeries. The suburb is relatively close to Pindarra, Allamanda and The Gold Coast Hospital. There are also numerous doctors’ clinics in the area.

Robina is home to Robina Town Centre. This shopping centre has recently undergone a major makeover and has an excellent range of retail stores, specialty stores, cinemas, supermarkets and other services. There is also a new and huge food court that will satiate even the pickiest person.

Robina Village Centre is a great one stop shop for groceries, beauty shop, real estate, petrol and bottle shop – this is also where the Robina Tavern is located. There are also many other shopping destinations in the area including: Pacific Fair, Robina Quays, Q Super Centre and Christine Corner.

There is lots to do in Robina. There are numerous bikeways, parks and playgrounds which make for a great family day out. The lakes and rivers fronts are excellent places to drop a line in and relax. Just watch out for the families of ducks which waddle about the area come spring.

There are some great cafes located on the river – wonderful for a casual lunch or drinks on Friday nights. There are also a few pubs in the area; Don’s Tavern is Bond Universities own pub but there is also the Robina Tavern and the Dog and Parrot which are pretty popular as well.

Palm Beach Pest Control

This southern beach side suburb has managed to remain that little bit out of the way of the Gold Coast and delightfully less developed than some of its neighbouring suburbs.

With excellent surf and a beautiful stretch of coast Palm Beach is very popular for surfers up and down the coast. The picnic facilities down by the beach make for a great spot for families and can be quite busy on weekends and holidays.

Close to the CBD and other main attractions of the Gold Coast, Palm Beach is an ideal living location with a range of home styles to choose from. On the seaward side of the Gold Coast Highway are oceanfront homes ranging from the modest to the extravagance of the suburb’s own millionaire’s row on Jefferson Lane. On the inland side of the Highway water-front homes are available in the canal estates.

The area is very popular with young families for its relaxed atmosphere with close proximity to major shopping, beaches and the increasing cafe culture

Straddling the M1, the eastern extent of Ormeau merges with the suburb of Pimpama, while to the south it meets with Kingsholme and to the north, Yatala. Many of the houses are located on acreage but there are also plenty of housing developments which are really popular with first home buyers.

The suburb has long been known for its large homes in rural settings and pretty countryside. It also has the area’s main retail centre and despite being of modest size, it manages to cater to most of the residents’ needs.

Pimpama (and the surrounding suburbs) are perfect for those who commute to Brisbane for work, however, it’s also only a stone’s throw away from the Gold Coast CBD so residents really get the best of both worlds, with pretty tree lined streets and lots of parkland too…

Horse riding is one of the main activities here but beside the Shopping Village there’s a cricket oval and sports ground. There are tennis courts in the small park near the start of Ormeau Ridge Road and extensive parkland areas throughout Old Ormeau Town and surrounding Cupani

Ormeau Primary is actually located in Pimpama on Mirambeena Drive but many of the kids from Ormeau and Kingsholme attend school there. It’s a medium sized country school with a good reputation and strong community involvement. Livingstone College is a new high school that is located at the end of Reedmans Road.

The eastern boundary is the Broadwater and these beaches are protected from the clean by South Stradbroke Island. All of these factors make Runaway Bay a prestigious area for boaties. Where else on the Gold Coast can you access the Broadwater and the Seaway in just 3 minutes?

Southport Pest Control

An inner city suburb of the Gold Coast City is the centre of the Gold Coast business district with a mixture of small and large businesses, stretching across 4,000 activities with over 8,000 registered businesses.

It is also one of the Gold Coast’s oldest suburbs and boasts a superb range of established gardens and giant leafy trees. Many regard Southport’s residential areas as being the Gold Coast’s Toorak / North Shore as you’ll find many stately homes set on large blocks of land, often with river frontage or fantastic views.

The newly developed Southport Broadwater Parklands provides the suburb with a sheltered seaside precinct to rival Brisbane’s South Bank with a fantastic playground nearby.

The streets are ‘green scaped’, the people are friendly, the sky is usually bright blue, the air is clean and the patrolled surf beach is 2 minutes away by car.

Southport is home to two of the Gold Coast’s oldest private schools. TSS ‘The Southport School’ and all-boys school with expansive grounds and riverfront position and St Hilda’s the only all-girls school which started up in the early 1900s.

Southport’s residences range from houses, villas, to small unit blocks providing low density living – a pleasant relaxed lifestyle well-guarded by a loose network of local activists who come together when Southport’s amenity is threatened.

Southport is rapidly becoming one of the Gold Coast’s real estate development hot spots with 11 high-rise buildings scheduled to grace our streets and house the Gold Coast’s booming population. These new high-rises such as Brighton on Broadwater and Pivotal Point are a mixture of residential and commercial buildings

Richard Gardiner was the first European to settle in the area which was known as Nerang Creek Heads. In 1869, Gardiner built a home and a wharf at the river end of Queen St. Following Gardiner’s lead, the Loder family joined him, then many others.

The village was renamed Southport in 1875 after the English seaside resort town. By 1890 the suburb had become the place for the social set, mainly due to its beautiful views and perfect weather. Beautiful one day, perfect the next. The tiny resort town flourished as the Council encouraged the development of kiosks, swimming baths, sideshow amusements and a theatre.

The Southport Jetty was finished in 1880 and was a very important link as the steamers and cutters were still the main means of contact. During this burgeoning era some of the Gold Coast’s landmarks were erected — The Southport School, St Hilda’s which was known then as Goyte-Lea and the Court House.

Southport developed as the Gold Coast’s central business district due to its accessibility to the sea and rail. The suburb continues to be the main hub of business on the Gold Coast.

Southport locals have access to many recreational parks, dog parks and bikeways. They are also close to the Broadwater where there are water sports a plenty to indulge in. One favourite haunt of local’s is the Southport Swimming Enclosure located opposite Australia Fair. This is a safe swimming area and is adjacent to a fantastic children’s playground.

Southport is also home to many sporting clubs and events. The Gold Coast Marathon runs through the streets of Southport during July and the Gold Coast Triathlon is held each February. The Southport Surf Lifesaving Club (SLSC) is a great club for little kids, teens and the elderly. To date the club has won a world championship, six Australian championships and 19 Queensland championships.

Southport is also home to the Southport Sharks, the Gold Coast’s premier rugby team. The Sharks are well supported and have a fantastic clubhouse, gaming area, restaurant and gym.

Australia Fair shopping centre is a multi-level complex. The facility has everything – men’s and ladies fashion, jewellers, supermarkets, pet store, food courts, toy shops and the list continues. There is also Event Cinemas which are very popular on Friday and Saturday nights. Close by is the Southport Mall which blends cafes and retail into one.

Further down the road, The Brickworks is home to the ever popular Ferry Road Markets. It’s not your average market as it’s houses a deli, butcher, fruit and veg, fishmonger with Japanese restaurant, tea shop, coffee shop, restaurant and cafe all in glam surroundings. In the surrounding area you’ll find great clothing and lifestyle boutiques, bottle shop, home wares, chemist, toy shop and much more. If you love outlet shopping, TK Maxx is a great place for affordable designer labels.

Dispersed throughout the suburb there are small clusters of shops and corner stores – selling fruit and vegetables, magazines and take away food.

Southport Park is a great place to do the weekly groceries. As well as Woolworths & Aldi, the centre has all the basics like bakeries, chemists, GP clinic, fruit and veg shop, a discount store, Optus store, cafes and many more specialty stores, and will soon have a Coles. Most locals do their shopping here and it’s not uncommon to meet up with old friends in the aisles of Woollies.

Staplyton Pest Control

Superbly positioned in a location of great natural beauty in one of Australia’s fastest growing regions, Yatala (on the western side of the M1 Pacific Motorway) and Staplyton (east)  was once considered the Gold Coast’s ‘Ugly Duckling’. That was until the suburb was ‘discovered’ in the 1970s as a commercial / business / industrial centre conveniently positioned midway between the Brisbane CBD and the Gold Coast.

Today the area offers people a much sought-after lifestyle option; the chance to live in a rural setting with business or work close by. The suburb is a master-planned community that offers an appealing, young eco-lifestyle in a green, semi-rural environment.

Residential housing options locally are plentiful and varied, ranging from units and affordable estate-style family homes and waterfront property through to lifestyle acreage, golf course mansions and villas.

The huge Logan Hyperdome Centre is a 15 minute drive north of Yatala and the Beenleigh Marketplace is just a hop, skip and a jump away up the M1.

The only school physically located in Yatala is River Mount College, a private school going from prep to grade 12. There are a number of schools located nearby however.

Tallai Pest Control

Close to the Gold Coast yet set back on the bush covered hills that mark the start of the Hinterland, Tallai is the ‘green behind the gold’ of the coast. If you’re looking for an escape from the city life then you’ll find it here amid the native wildlife, rainforest and stunning waterfalls that characterise the Hinterland.

The area maintains a village feel and offers lovely rural, family type homes with many located on small acreages. The neighbouring suburb of Tallai sits atop the rolling hills with Mudgeeraba to share in the panoramic views of the hinterland and the golden glitz of the Coast. Located close to the M1 and Hinze Dam, and the suburbs of Robina and Merrimac, Mudgeeraba and Tallai residents enjoy the best of both worlds as they make use of the hustle and bustle of city life only to retreat to their rolling hills and tranquillity.

A 9 hole, par 3 course that is considered quite fun for the hilly course and tricky greens while being very reasonably priced and open to the public

The Mudgeeraba Show originally began as a small Fete & Flower Show over 80 years ago to raise money for improvements to the town’s Memorial Hall. Over the years the event has become an agricultural show that’s grown into a two day event with horse shows, handicrafts, exhibits, cooking and preserves, pet parades, wood-chopping, Ute muster, cattle, sheep, show bags, rides and so much more. Held in July each year the Mudgeeraba Show is a great family attraction for locals and visitors alike.

Tallai was initially a cattle-run taken up back in 1852 with farm selections beginning in the late 1860s. Timber harvesting was also popular and by the 1900s there were 3 sawmills in the area as well as several dairy farms.
